Neutral Colored Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas
Valentine’s Day is a day where people celebrate love and romance. However, there are many people who dread this “holiday” for various different reasons. I actually tend to like it – whether I am single or not! For most people, the norm is to go out to dinner, spend time with your significant other OR your close friends, etc. Whatever you have planned – or are soon to be planning – you may be looking for the perfect Valentine’s Day outfit. I have 5 outfit ideas for you girls that don’t include a whole lot of pink or red!
Personally, I oftentimes wear A LOT of black or simply neutral colors and just because it’s Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean you can’t wear them! So I put a few together for you girls no matter who you will spend your day with! They work for both casual and some more dressed up events.
Let’s Get Started:
1. A Classic Black Jumper
The first is an H&M Jumpsuit paired with some Steve Madden open-toe block heels. I bought this jumpsuit a few years ago, but I did find a similar one on H&M’s site for you guys! If black is not your go-to color for Valentine’s Day, but you like the look – try out this classic red jumpsuit from MissGuided with a wide leg! The shoes are available in many colors and you can also find pretty similar ones on ASOS for half the price! My bag of choice for this outfit is a nude colored shoulder bag from Michael Kors, however, you could always go a similar budget-friendly option.
2. Cropped Sweater with a Leather Skirt
The second outfit is a cropped turtle neck sweater with wide sleeves from H&M with a leather front zip-up skirt from Top Shop at Nordstrom. I also have on thigh-high Steve Madden boots and my purse is from Kate Spade. Unfortunately, the sweater and the skirt are not available online, however, I found some similar options here for the sweater and here for the skirt! Since the purse was from the outlets, I was not able to find it online – but there is an even more budget-friendly option which has similar studs like mine! If you can get to a Kate Spade outlet, I would definitely recommend doing so! They always have some amazing deals on a bunch of really great stuff!
3. Button Down Shirt Dress with Thigh Highs
Here, I wore a V-neck button down dress that can be worn freely or with a belt. I chose to wear a belt, but it’s up to you! If you don’t have the same Gucci belt, any circle belt like this one or even this heart shaped one (to match the Valentine’s Day theme) would work! I wore my Steve Madden boots here, too! My purse is a simple black shoulder bag that I bought from H&M for super cheap.
4. A Red Sweater and Skirt Combo
The fourth outfit is a burgundy red sweater similar to this one from H&M with a skirt also from there. I was able to find the exact same skirt which is available online here and a burgundy red sweater that would work great here. I have on black tights and some boots that have a platform or “chunky” sole. These boots from PrettyLittleThing are super close to the ones that I have! The purse is the same Kate Spade purse as before!
5. Pink Sweater with Black Pants and Booties
Last, but not least – for the final outfit I have one a pink sweater with some black skinny pants and black leather booties with a block heel. I got the sweater from H&M in the sale section in December so it is not available anymore. Of course, I found something similar online here. I am not really sure where I got the booties, but the block heel makes them super comfortable. You can check out these similar options here and here.
No matter what you have planned for Valentine’s Day, make sure that you enjoy it and feel great doing it! Even if that means staying home with popcorn or a pizza (or both), a glass of wine, and watching movies. Remember that you don’t always have to be in a relationship to enjoy this day. As mentioned in a previous blog, I like spending time by myself, too! Self-love is important so make sure you at least show yourself some love on this holiday!
I hope you enjoyed these neutral colored Valentine’s Day outfits! Which one was your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!
