So you know the whole social distancing thing? Well, it has caused me to stay home for the past 2 weeks and what have I done? I’ve baked cookies, watched an excessive amount of Netflix shows and movies, and of course I’ve scrolled through social media for hours. While scrolling, I came across this new “Whipped Coffee”/”Dalgona Coffee”/”Frappe” trend that’s very popular on TikTok.
For the past 10 days, I have been stuck at home, self-quarantining because of the COVID-19 outbreak, and wondering what to do. Something that I like to do when I am bored is to cook and, of course, bake. So, what did I make this time? Oreo chocolate chip cookies! Because, Oreo cookies and plain chocolate chip cookies aren’t enough, right? They can be, but not this time.
Staying at home is something that a lot of people enjoy doing – not just home-bodies, but most of the general population. They all want to have a day where they do nothing. Just chill on the couch, wear comfy clothes, binge-watch TV shows/movies, not worry about putting on makeup, and pig-out on all kinds of junk. However, what do you do when you are stuck at home for more than just one day while you are strongly advised to stay indoors? I have come up with an at-home survival guide full of things to do while staying home!
The DMV (DC/Maryland/Virginia) area is large to some and small to others. You can get to a lot of the key places within an hour or so – if you pick the right travel time. This makes the area ideal for exploring and grabbing a bite to eat – especially when it comes to brunch. When I was home for the holidays, I spent a lot of time at brunch at some of my favorite spots in Maryland and D.C.. Now I’m sharing them with you!
I’m a HUGE dog person, if you didn’t know that already. While I love (most) dogs, of course, my dog is the closest one to my heart. Why not dedicate a blog post to him and introduce you all to my Weimaraner A.K.A. best friend and “son”?
I am not from Washington, DC, but I am from about 20 minutes outside of DC from a city in Maryland. With that being said, it is safe to say that Washington, DC is in my backyard and I’ve grown up around it. While being home for the holidays, I decided to go exploring and be a tourist in my own city!
I’ve been absent from my blog for about 2 months now and that was because of the holiday season. First and foremost, I’d like to say Happy New Year! It’s the end of January and I am just getting around to saying it, but it’s better late than never. I ended up going home for the holidays and surprising my family which is why I was so absent.

If you are traveling to Barcelona and you aren’t familiar with Antoni Gaudí or at least some of his work, chances are that you should look into him. Even if you aren’t taking a trip to Barcelona, it might still interest you to learn about him and his work. Casa Milà, or “La Pedrera” as it is called now, is one of Gaudí’s most innovative structures and also one of the last that he worked on. I ended up touring Casa Milà in Barcelona and it was incredibly interesting and beautiful!
