Florence is the capital of the Tuscany region in Italy and it is personally, one of my favorite cities that I have ever been to. It has an insane amount of history and it is amazing how that history has been preserved throughout the years. When you stroll the streets you get a feel as if you are in a different world – like you are in Italy centuries ago. If you are visiting Italy, you may be wondering what some of the top Florence attractions are. In this blog, I will tell you all about where to go in Florence, Italy and what is best about each attraction. Stay tuned!
This year for Mother’s Day, I wrote a letter dedicated to my mom. Since yesterday was Father’s Day, I figured that it would be a great time to write one for my dad. While my dad is in Bulgaria this Father’s Day (as am I), we ended up being in 2 different cities and were not able to spend the day together. However, my trip to Florence, Italy last weekend was not only for me, but I brought him along, too as an early Father’s Day gift. This post is dedicated to my dad specifically, but I hope that my other readers will be able to relate and feel grateful for their fathers as well.
Italy is known for a lot of different things; mainly for its charm, history, and of course, its beauty – Especially in Florence. Florence is a city that I can never get tired of and even though I have visited this city (now) 4 times, I still want to go back again and again. Earlier this week I got back from my most recent trip to Florence, Italy and I decided to wrap up the entire vacation for you in this blog post!
Last week, I started telling you guys about my road trip throughout Bulgaria that I recently took with my dad. I am continuing the break down of my journey in today’s blog post with Part 2! I left off with Day 3 as we were traveling to Pamporovo and Smolyan; however, we had made a few stops along the way. We stopped at the Bachkovo Monastery and the Wonderful Bridges. Eventually, we got back on the road and headed to Pamporovo.
For those who don’t know, every time I traveled to Bulgaria (before moving here) my exploring was limited. In other words, I haven’t seen a lot of Bulgaria – until now! My parents visit often and my dad is actually here now so I decided to take a week off of work and go on a road trip throughout Bulgaria while we both had the chance! We mainly stayed on the Western/Central side of Bulgaria and I have to stay that it is one BEAUTIFUL country.
Traveling is something that I have a huge passion for and I tend to take every chance I get to go somewhere. Even if I have been to that country or city before. It is a thrill like no other and I am not afraid to go by myself. In fact, I tend to prefer traveling alone than with others for many reasons. Many people may shy away from that, but for me, it isn’t so lonely as one might assume.
If you don’t know me, you might not know that I have a huge obsession with graphic tees. The graphic tee trend has gone in and out of style in the past and recently, it has definitely been in. At least for me. I got back into this trend the beginning of 2017 and absolutely love love love them.
Staying fit is something that I have prioritized a lot recently – more than previous years. However, with a busy schedule, I found it difficult for me to go to the gym as often as I would like. This is what made me get into home workouts because they still get the job done (for me at least) and I work at my own pace. I am going to share with you my home ab workout routine and tell you about the 100 squat challenge that I did!
As many of you know, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy during my senior year of college. While I was there, the class that I chose to take was Food and Wine Pairing which meant that I had to cook and drink wine every day – for school. Not only was it fun, but I also got to learn a lot of amazing recipes. One of my favorites was this Eggplant Parmesan recipe. I figured that I would share that with you guys!
Memorial Day is right around the corner in America which means that everyone is going to be headed to the beach. If you are not in America, chances are the weather is starting to get warmer and warmer which means beach/pool season is upon us. This is great because it means that most of us can start to get our tan on! However, until that tan develops, you don’t want to look pale in those shorts or sundresses. That’s why I am compiling a small list of my favorite self-tanners that leave no streaks or blotches when applied correctly!
